Document before fabricate
Architecture decisions are written down and signed off before metal is cut. Scope changes follow a revision log with cost and schedule impact — no surprise invoices.
RoboSpark Inc. is a Toronto-based robotics studio founded on a simple premise: the people who design a cell should be the same people who debug it at 10 p.m. before an acceptance run.
We occupy a ground-floor suite in the Sterling Road industrial corridor — walking distance from Liberty Village and a short drive from the Gardiner. The space holds fourteen active workcells, a machine shop corner, ESD-safe assembly benches and a client viewing area separated by safety glass.
RoboSpark was incorporated in Ontario to serve manufacturers, logistics operators and product companies that need robotics capability without building an internal division. Our business number is BN 642931758 RC0001. We carry standard commercial liability coverage and maintain WHMIS-compliant material handling throughout the lab.
Visitors are welcome by appointment. We run structured lab tours on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons for prospective clients who want to see active builds before committing to a scope document.
Our founding team came from automotive Tier-1 integrators, university robotics labs and embedded firmware shops. The lead engineer on your project attends every design review and signs the acceptance report personally.
We hire for bench competence: CAD proficiency, ROS fluency, oscilloscope comfort and the patience to document wiring before moving to the next sprint. Sales staff do not scope technical work — engineers do.

RoboSpark has never accepted a weapons-related engagement and maintains a permanent exclusion for autonomous lethal systems. This is non-negotiable across all staff and contractors.
A prototype you cannot maintain is a liability. Source code, CAD, calibration files and operator manuals transfer to your systems on every project.
We decline work that cannot meet your stated metrics within the laws of physics and your budget. A fast no saves everyone months of false hope.
The studio employs mechanical designers, perception engineers, embedded firmware developers and a dedicated documentation specialist who maintains runbooks throughout each build. Project teams are assigned at kickoff and remain stable through handover — you will not meet a new face every week.
Contractors join for specialised fabrication or compliance testing but do not lead client engagements. All external collaborators sign confidentiality agreements and safety orientation before accessing the workcell floor. We maintain a single point of contact per project, typically the principal engineer who scoped your build.
RoboSpark does not operate a sales department separate from engineering. When you call the studio line, you reach someone who can answer technical questions about sensor selection, cycle-time feasibility and safety integration — not a script reader scheduling a follow-up call.
Book a Tuesday or Thursday tour to see active builds and meet the engineering team.
